having trouble taking out the auto trans rear counterbalence weight
Hey, i cant get the rear counterbalence weight off my rex.... i had a puller kit but i could only get the bolts into the weight like 3 threads and the threads on the bolt broke off.. it didnt hurt the threads on the weight though the pulle i used kind of chipped up inside where the pilot bearing goes... its not bad at all, nothing a little filing wont fix...i hope.....
any tricks on how to get the weight off.. its on there REALLY tight...

You've already gotten the big nut off, right? If so, just take a claw hammer or whatever (it's got to be metal) and give it a couple good blows. It has always worked for me to remove rear counterweight. Just leave the nut on a couple threads so when the weight slips off its taper on the shaft, it won't fall on the ground.
Incidentally, I just installed a counterweight a little while ago. I'm not sure if it's tight enough. I've got to bolt on a flywheel and a flywheel stopper tomorrow and double check it.
