Thumbs up Haul: Racing Beat

Those YouTube "Haul Videos" always gave me a stabbing pain to my brain (mainly chicks showing off what they just bought at the mall). This is my Rotorhead version.

I just got back from Racing Beat and brought home Headers, a Pre-silencer and associated hardware. I am surprised at how light weight these components are. Imagined them to be more like bricks. The great build quality was to be expected. Also a bottle of Royal Blue 2-cycle oil to premix as added assurance for track day. Already have the RB muffler installed.

The guys down there are just awesome. Very, very helpful and a wealth of knowledge. I'll be going back soon for the intake upgrades. Say good-bye to stock engine.

Going to clear some room in the garage to work on the RX7 in the evenings when things are cooled down somewhat. My preparations for the Sevenstock Track day event are underway!

Going from the stock exhaust to the full short-primary system. Still running the stock Nikki.

I was wondering if this is going to lean out my mixture noticeably?

Nice looking stuff!

Those women at the mall have got nothing on us Rotorheads when it comes to Hauls.

In fact it's been a Racing Beat kind of day, just an hour ago I snagged this 84/85 system on ebay with a Make an Offer bid of $712 shipped.

It's going into my current 84 GSL project, the White One II.

I wish I was out there in CA and could just walk into the RB outlet, I've talked to them on the phone but it would be great to meet them in person.

But things need to be shipped to GA and that costs some bucks (about $75), so this looks to be a pretty good deal.

We'll see when it gets here, maybe as soon as this weekend.

I just check the registrants for the Sevenstock Track event. There are only 20 spots left of the 110 available. 3 are 1st gens.

Registrant List: (I'm 4th from the bottom so far, expand to view all)
https://www.extremespeedtrackevents....list&Itemid=15

'82 RX7 - no details
'84 RX7 - Pro7 or he might bring his FC
'85 RX7 GS - see first post.

So that means there might be only 2 FBs.

As you can see from the top image, my '85 isn't a looker, but I'm working from the inside/out. Starting with the nut behind the wheel.

Track days are all about fun.
You win just by showing up with your ride.
