has this happened to any one ?
car 83 fb
all right so i have rebuilt the carb and its still not working properly. The car that is.
(first off...the floats in the carb werent set right, and it had never been rebuilt did they come stock with the float set to high ?)
The problem im having is with the ignition, its a stock ignition, and i mean i getting to that point its just like AHH!! i get spark on either leading or trailing depending on what ignitors are where. and as well as i never seem to get spark. Is there a ground that i should check, or a dizzy rebuild...
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

before you go crazy rebuilding everything, check your battery cables they may be corroded...and a bad ground will thoroughly make starting a difficult and tedious task. Check your battery, cables, and fusible links. did you re-set your float levels when you did the rebuild? I dont remember the exact specs but I think they should hang at about 15mm and when upside down, should stop at like 7mm but dont quote me on that, I dont have the specs in front of me...trying to remember from when I rebuilt mine 2 weeks ago. Also check to make sure that everything is tight and sealed.

check all your leads and wires...but if your not getting any spark I'd check the wires and plugs...but if your having starter problem just go and get a starter...sometimes the simpliest fix is often the problem...

Plugs are all right...and the leads all rgiht as well.. not 100% sure. ive done them buy the hanes and they "checked out" ok.
