Has anyone installed a custom made Magnaflow exhaust?

Subject says it all. I've read up on how much praise the RB exhaust systems have received, but I've always liked Magnaflow, and after viewing the different products (mufflers w/tips & catalytics), I've wondered if anyone has done this before.

Has anyone, or know anyone, that has purchased a Magnaflow muffler and catalytic, mandrel bent tubing, and (I guess only RB makes 'em) an RB header onto their FB? If so, how well did it sound? Deep and throaty, smooth and low, or raspy and high pitched? I'm not wanting that ricer sound like all these Civics with those huge 10" mufflers make. That's too annoying.

I've listened to the video found in the "RB products link" and while it does sound good, I wished the engine was wound up all the way so I could really hear what it sounds like at WOT. So, I have that video to get an idea of an RB exhaust, I'd like to compare it to a Magnaflow equipped exhaust.

I have. You will NEED a resonator under the car too... I'm running a RB header, presilencer, borla SS resonator, and magnaflow muffler... It's very... Authoritative..... LOL

The RB header is good bang for the buck.

The RB dual presilencers do a nice job dropping noise and can take the heat. They are not cheap, but they only drop 1-3hp each.

I'd reccomend buying both.

If you want a more authoritative sound, get the magnaflow rear muffler. 2.5" dia offset in/out. I had this setup but with the straight not offset inlet/outlet and you do want it offset to eat some sound. Much cheaper than RB muffler too.

Good sounding deep idle, but when you're on the pipe the next block will know. I had to lift when I saw a cop. Drone @ 80mph 5th gear hard to talk but do-able. If you want it quieter put a resonater tip or turndown on the end of muffler, go down to 2.25" diameter, or choose a quieter muffler. Be sure to use a good collector before the muffler, Magnaflow makes good ones that are compact.

Actually, there is one that I saw that looks almost identical to the muffler that comes stock on my FB. Granted it's bigger in the tips, but looks like a refurbished one.

So, it would have to be RB header, RB presilencer (or two of them?), Magnaflow universal catalytic converter, mandrel bent tubing, and that Magnaflow muffler? Am I missing anything else? Or does all that sound about right?

I'm still unsure how I want to build my custom turbo exhaust. But a magnaflow muffler and high flow cat are definitely in the equation either way

Is that really what the 14830 muffler looks like? Wow, the tips look a bit bigger than what Magnaflow's website shows.

Hmm.. they do appear smaller on the website, but the measurements are right on there. 3.25" wide each.

magnaflow is the best muffler on the market, and dynomax makes the best presilencers on the market.
Look at www.summitracing.com the prices are way cheaper then on even magnaflows website
