Could have, but front rotor was in good condition and didn't want to spend an extra $100.

Yeah, that's the first thing I did, plus the coat on top of the oil tower. Thanks.

Thanks for all the good wishes; it's good to feel the love from the rotorheads

So the engine was dropped in and after a few problems with leading ignition - leading ignitor was fried - the engine fired up normally. Now I just have to get rid of the smoke coming from lots of oil in the combustion chambers. Break in commences!

Hi, *******.
I bet you **** this one up by the end of August. I gotta fresh Sterling Carb to put up on that bet.
Carlos, you should get a Holley. Less low end and less tuneability means less opportunity for you to do something stupid to it.

-Didn't wanna spring for that extra 100 bucks for a balanced rotating assembly, huh?
Cheapass.
You'd buy your replacement engines from Walmart if they sold 'em.

Good luck, Putz. Yer gonna need it.

So good to hear from you, ********.

You might loose that bet. The engine has not stopped smoking since it first fired up - it might need to be torn down again. If so, that would probably be a new record. Never made it off the launching pad!

Uhmmm, Yeah.
Remember those long skinny zig-zaggy springs you were snapping across the garage?

Well you needed those, stupid.
