Gsl Tii Ignition

i have read the write up thread, and i have looked around. but i still can not find what you have to use for IGNITION for a TII. on my car now, ive got two accel coils, and the distributer. i dont know what i need for the TII engine. can anyone help me?

The T2 ignition would be controlled by the engine controller.

It is possible to use your existing ignition but I wouldn't recommend it. The T2 has electronic ignition and is controlled by the ECU.

The ECU adjusts the timing under boost and your existing system would be unable to do that. Also, there is a knock sensor that retards the timing when it detects detonation. I went with the stock ECU and have had no problems with it.

If you don't want to use the stock ECU or an aftermarket ECU, see what some of the blow thru turbo guys are doing for ignition and follow their lead.
