gsl-se waterpump housing options

basically im doing a turbo 2 swap in my fb. ive bought a gsl-se front cover for the engine. it seems to me that the aluminum turbo 2 waterpump housing wont clear the front cover. anyone run into this before? with the amount of turbo fb's now i figured someone might know.

Thanks,
Matt

Sorry about the quality, the shop camera has seen better days.

Nothing a few minutes with a Dremel won't fix.

Here's a real easy way to do it:
  1. First, slide the WP on until it hits the front cover.
  2. Note the area it's impacting, then light a candle and pass the offending area over it a few times, getting soot on it.
  3. Refit the WP on the housing until it hits the cover. It will rub the soot off the WP in the area you need to grind.
  4. Clean soot off front cover, grind offending lug of waterpump a little.
  5. Repeat until it fits.

Yep. Not a big deal at all. I'm working on the same swap myself.
