OK me and my friend have been fighting forever about this... i think i have two injectors... he says i have 4... which is it? and can you please give me a site thats reliable to shove in his face .... lol thank you!

84-85 GSL-SE has 2 680cc low impedence injectors in the center plate.........period.

Staged, 4 injector EFI was used on all 86-up rotaries, and is still used.

 

the high power renesis uses 6 injectors

What's up with the renesis comment? Has no bearing on the question at all. Like they said SE has 2.

Yep the SE has TWO (2) 680 cc injectors.

Now what about the renesis? Where did you hear 6 injectors?

the six injectors on the renesis have 3 stages: 1-2 used for low rpms, 2-the two used for low rpms and another 2 for the midrange which gives you 4 , 3-stage 1&2 plus 2 more for high rpms above 6.5k all the way to its 9k redline before the 9,500 fuel cut-off for a total of 6 injectors. that is, for those who bought the manual tranny, the auto has a 8k fuel cut

he said to date all rotaries use 4 injectors and I was pointing out the high power version of the renesis uses 6 injectors instead of 4, the low power version still uses 4

 

I wasnt aware of the high output Renesis' 6 injector setup.Thanks for the info.

I was reffering to the REW engines which were made up until recently,all of which use 4 injectors.(except of course the 20B,but its still 2 per rotor!)

 

i only found 2 when dismantling my se parts car, lol (that was not meant to be taken seriously)
