Have RX-7, will restore
iTrader: (91)
did you convert a GS to 13B using the EGI engine from the SE? if so, you use the complete front SE wiring harness behind the dash up to the heater controls. the harness splits off and you can retain your stock GS harness as the SE harness will plug into that. the SE harness is used throughout the engine bay and to the rear of the car into the storage bins. from there, there is another large connector similar to the one near the heater controls. keep your GS's rear wiring harness and plug the SE harness into the GS's rear harness. i did the SE swap on my ocen blue 85 GS. here is the thread..including plenty of pics that may help you with your swap: https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-293/85-l6-gs-se-project-restoration-822222/
if you need further explanation or pics or a parts list for the conversion let me know and i'll send the list yor way.
also, with the front engine mount, you need to slot each hole rearward about 10mm on the front mount where the mount meets the engine mounts. you can also buy the adapter brace from racing beat to use the SE engine in a 12A car. the 13B is longer and the mounts themselves are mounted in a different location (more forward on the crossmember) than the 12A mounts.
a list of SE parts you will need include but are not limited to:
-SE ecu and COMPLETE wiring harness
-SE fuel pump and filter assembly with hardlines and bracket
-SE right side radiator bracket
-SE throttle cable
-SE plastic intake duct in front of radiator
-SE oil cooler
-SE choke **** plug
-Custom fuel feed line
-SE airbox, maf meter, intake tube
-SE radiator hoses
-SE coolant hardline from heater core to lower bypass hose on radiator
-SE fan clutch and fan
-SE gas tank
-SE's relief solenoid valve and switching solenoid valve
thats all i can think of at ten to 3..
