I am going to add power steering to my 85 GLS-SE. I have the pump and Steering box. Is there anything else that I need?

 

Well, assuming you have all the piping and the P/S fluid cooling line, then you should be all set, unless the steering shaft you have right now isn't compatible with the P/S box. I think P/S shaft is the two-piece and uses a connector bushing, don't know about the regular steering shaft on GSL-SE.

 

The shaft and box are one unit. My suggestion is to set all the adjustments on the box up as per the fsm before installation.

 

Did your car come with A/c?

If not then you will need to get the proper mounting bracket for the P/S.

You also need the adjuster assembly.

Belt, pressure and return hoses.

 

Wasn't on my car. The box has its own mini shaft that connects with the main shaft through a bushing.
