GSL-SE Intake Manifold Removal

This may seem a silly question, but I am having a heckuva time removing the intake manifold on my GSL-SE. So far:
- removed the air cleaner box and piping,
- removed the throttle body, disconnected coolant line at firewall
- removed the four nuts on the studs (passenger side of car) that hold the upper manifold to lower manifold
- removed the two bolts (driver's side) that hold the chamber to upright bracket
- disconnected 8 small (1/4") vacuum lines
- disconnected small electrical connectors
- removed air pump

and still, I cannot pull-off the upper manifold. It moves (wiggles) a very little bit on its studs, but I cannot get it to budge upward. What am I doing wrong? It may just be caught on the studs, but I cannot even get it to move upward a little bit,so I'm thinking something else is holding it... Anybody have an idea?

did you remove the two nuts on the under side of the lower intake manifold? you will have to remove the auxiliary port actuators to get good access to them.

Try taking off the bolt in the middle of the upper manifold to lower manifold flange. That might do it. ;-).

Carl is right (again.) I thought it was a short bolt holding-on the cable clamp, but it's actually a long bolt holding-on the manifold.

its a common bolt that's all too often overlooked. its a good lesson learned though and something that you will never forget to do again! glad it worked out for the best!
