Good info - much appreciated. Kind of figured the Denso pump was more 'generic' than specific. It would be nice if the picture (on RA) would show the outlet side in better detail - as it seems to be covered by a protective sleeve? I was thinking about what the pipe looks like with gas exiting the end (to pulser/dampener. OEM unit has the extra perimeter holes that are covered by banjo. Neither the Spectra or Airtex units have these extra holes, so all the fuel must enter the pulser. Most important is that the threads must be compatible with the OEM pulser - which they obviously are.
I also notice that (RA) still lists the FEO 285 Delphi pump - which of course will not work as it is an inside the tank unit and dimensions all wrong. They show it now as 'wholesaler closeout' for about $21. (US) - but even if free it makes no difference. I contacted (RA) more than once to advise them to remove pump from listing.
I should update about my cat-cons. I hadn't fully removed the front piece (as attached to manifold) until last night. Unfortunately the inlet part shows evidence of partial melting/fusion of the 'grid' and I am guessing this to be approx. a 40% restriction. It is useable but would most likely restrict flow at higher rpm's.
So, I am now searching around for replacement. RA has no listings tor the two small converters and other places no Gen-one numbers. I (of course) hesitate to check the dealers. Any advice is more than welcome.
I also am doing a coolant change and with some minor 'white' deposits visible in the core, I removed the rad to have it looked at by my shop. I never went more than four years between coolant changes. Nice looking 'high-density' core which shows good engineering sense - 35 years ago!
Thanks again, all of you, for good advice.

Hope I could help. When it comes to the exhaust, I bought a full Racing Beat system from two from a forum members. I still have the full factory system (sorry, not selling it, lol). It did wonders to my 7! It is the basic one, not the road race, which I hear is better in terms of gains. But I am not looking at squeezing "everything" out of it. Just make it enjoyable and as close to stock/period correct as possible.

Those parts NLA,need to get creative to keep car on road. Go to an exhaust shop and have them remove your cats and save them?... have shop make a new down pipe from manifold down to where a new modern hi-flow cat with an aspirator tube is welded in to connect to air pipe going back to engine to actuate 5th,6th port air motors. Then make a new section of pipe to go from cat to muffler pipe. Be surprised how much power this frees up,those 30+ year old cats get clogged up over time, not to mention the substrate melting down from a likely rich running condition or a misfire, like driving around with a cork in the tailpipe . I did this several years ago to my SE,runs good, passes emissions easily. This job should cost @ $225.00 parts and labor-maybe less in your area.
