Could some one tell me if the computer in the passanger side foot well of an GSL-SE controls anything other than the Fuel Injection? If I were to go to a SE with a carb could I toss it?

And while we're at it, what do the other gizmos attached to the same metal plate under there do exactly?

Sorry to tack on another question instead of an answer. I'd assume the stock 12A carbie models have a different ECU, and the EFI ECU would be junk if you ran a carb.

 

I always assumed that a 12A didn't have an ECU, that fuel controls were all manual. Is there anything in that location in a 12A?

 

the 12A has the evil smog guts down there.
the "other" stuff on the 13B I belive is the atmospehric pressure sensors.
