GSL-SE extreme idle problem

Yes, for once I am not posting about my TII problems.

My GSL-SE friend set up a little drift course yesterday, in a parking lot. It seems he went into a corner too hot, and tapped a curb. (I wasn't there - he called to ask my advice)

He says that the car now idles at 5000 rpm! - and it smells as if the clutch is burning. His car is VERY clean, all electrics are (were) perfect.

What did he do to cause this? - He said that the trottle linkage is operating normally.

Having not seen the car yet, I can give no better description of what is going on. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds weird, try adjusting the screw on the top of your throttle body?

My friends -SE started to idle at 4000 after he started it up one time, recently after he bought it. Turns out, the intake had sucked up a razor blade, and (luckily) the throttle body caught it and it was holding the butterfly open, making it idle at 4000rpm.

His cruise control bracket was loose, causing the cable to jam his throttle body close to WOT.

Isn't the screw on top of the throttle body supposed to be the idle adjustement. When I took the throttle body off for some cleaning I looked at the screw ant found it just screws in and out. I can't see were it goes. I thought it would hold the butterflies open or something.
