I have an 84 SE that runs great. The only issue is when you firtst start it up after about 2 minutes the engine will pulsate for another 2 minutes and then idle at 800 rpm and be completely smooth. Any idea what may cause this?

 

the first thing i woud check is the tps adjustment. a tps that it out of adjustment can cause that issue. another thing that can cause this issue is a carboned up bypass air control valve. the bacv is easy to remove and clean. just make sure you installa new gasket from the dealer.
