GSL LSD Diff.
I'm wanting to know how much power a stock GSL's diff can handle. I'm planning to modify one to put into my FC, so I can put different gears in it; and I'm not sure if it will be able to handle 200+HP
dunno, but all the guys planning on big numbers usually look for an upgrade (Ford 9" for example). I'm sure is O.K. but I'd bet its going to be a bigger PITA to get that pumpkin in an FC than its worth. You want different drive ratio... I'd bet it wouldn't cost too much to have a set custom made.

FC Pumpkin - stock
FB front cover - free
FB clutch-type LSD - free
B2200 4.44 R&P - ~$80
Custom Driveshaft - ~$85
The FB front cover bolts onto the FC pumpkin. Throw the FB LSD & B2200 R&P in, weld on a custom armature for the front diff. mount, have a custom driveshaft made to accomidate the extra length (also make it servicable) and there you have it. A short R&P (which gains access to all sorts of wonderful gearing options) in an FC.

Im probally putting 300+ to mine and its holding up so far. Not sure on the HP total, but It will put your *** flat back in the seat so I figure its should be within a few horsies of what the turbo is suppose to do.

Or go for floating hubs with billet axels, that bolt into the orig housing etc. That is what many of the racers are doing over here in OZ. Quick. easy, much lighter than a 9 inch, match that with an aftermarket Torsen style diff and you have a great rear-end.
Of course, it would be possible (as anything is, technically) to use the center carrier from an IRS-equipped Ford 8.8 (MN 12 chassis or 99-up Cobras), where you have gear ratios ranging from 2.73, 3.08, 3.27. 3.55, 3.73, 3.90, 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, etc...done properly (which would most likely not be cheap unless you are a great fabricator) it could be nearly indestructible in a street car. You would also have the option of any number of LSD's that bolt-in, from stock Trak-lok (works great with extra clutches and S-spring from an F150) to the ARB Air Locker.
