If it moves properly then you probaby put the needle on wrong or something along those lines.

sometimes the needle is put on in the wrong spot...it has to be just right to be calibrated right or else the magnetics will read the tach speed wrong.

ok the speedo gear seems to be fine...when i rev the car the rpm guage works.. but it is off.. When the car is shut off, the needle sire about a half an inch below the 0 mark... I never took the needle off, i just slipped the new guage faces over it, is it possible it got turned or something? Thanks all Rotary-Rex
