depending on the build date the GSL-SE might already be 3.93

i believe they were all like 3.90 except maybe for those with auto trannys. it's the tranny gear ratios that differed thru the yrs, with the SE having much taller 5th gear.

You won't notice much of a difference with 3:93.

ok, then is your purpose of changing the gear ratio to a 390 for lower rpm on the highway or what, cause you wont notice much of a diff, whats your motive for this swap

Since no one answered this already well covered subject the answer is yes.

Also the Early Se's had 4.076 gearing and later they went to the 3.90 gears.

I was sure that all SE's had 4.10's since the SE tranny had a much taller 5th gear. I know GSL's have 3.9's

But anyway, my SE diff is definitely 4.10's my 302 runs at 2900rpm on the highway at 100km/h, with my GS diff and much smaller rims tires, it runs 2500rpm.

my SE diff had 215 65 15's, my gs diff has 185 65 13's.
