Wink Greetings from Gimp

Hey guys,

The real name's Christina, but everyone just calls me Gimp or Gimpy (its a college thing!)

Well yesterday was a good day - bought a car (with the fiance that is!) Rotaries are a bit of a tradition in the family - but this is my first.

I love the Rx7s - and especially this little black number! Its a series II 1982 - and really that's as much as I know - other than it goes broom broom and has turned a few heads. we pick it up next week and really only needs a bit of rust on the door treated - all new interior.

I don't want to be one of those female owners who lets the guy do all the work - I like things with engines and am very keen to learn about them and to do a bit of the maintenance.

so thats a little about myself, other than I go to uni and do Environmental science in Australia, just about 20 years of age, and one day I want to own an RX8 which is released very soon here in Aussie Land

So, watch out for my probably very basic questions - that will hopefully, with all your knowledge, get me to knowing a bit about our new baby.

Welcome Christina,

We are all glad that you joined our loving community. A few things to do while you are here is to check out the "stickies" in each section, the archives, and don’t be afraid to use the search option for some answers.

If you have a question about rotary engines or RX-7's, you've come to the right place. When asking a question, be sure you are asking it in the appropriate forum. (ex. Not everything goes into the Lounge)

I've been a member for a while and have learned that this site is flowing with information, great people, and the owners are always striving to make this a better place for the users. The admins and moderators do not tolerate flaming other people or their property. If you are attempting to undermine the tranquility of the forum, I’m sure appropriate action will be taken.

On a personal note and fair warning: Ignore the people who have a pinecone shoved up their asses. (Basically, don't take everything on here personally.)

Enjoy your stay.

We, of course, always want to see pics of the car. So get us some pics when you can. Welcome.

Gimp last logged in to his account in 2003 and only has one post. I'm guessing he's not coming back.
