She's just about out of paint. The rear spoiler and bumper still need to be painted, but after that, it's reassembly.

This is before the clear coat:

This is after the clear coat:

It's still taped off.

Body kit, flares installed (which required cutting/welding), fix minor body issues, new windshield, and paint was about 4k.

If only. I had planned on coming this year but they decided to have it right before Thanksgiving week. I'll be going to visit family so it's a no go. Any other weekend in Nov would have been ok. But right before Thanksgiving? A bunch of us were planning to come but we all had to bail for the same reasons.

She's done. Picked her up today at the shop:

Decals go on in a couple of weeks, after the paint has completely cured.

The oxidized wheels are really letting it down, so I need to get the SSRs on. In order to fit them, I have to put extended lugs in the rear rotors. I'll be pulling those off the car soon. The fronts will require a thin spacer in order to clear the SE calipers...probably 3-5 mil.

I'll also be dropping the car about 1-1/2" in the rear and maybe 1" in the front.

So, yeah...these flares turned out WAY better than ZG flares would have. I have absolutely no complaints.

Those are the same wheels as mine. I'm pretty sure they're called Cyclone II...covered this on page 3 of the thread.

The air dam and the side skirts are from Versatec. An 80s kit available for 1st gens. Picked it up from a forum member about a year ago.

Amazing FB FM, looks awesome.

Please post complete pics once everything is completed. The front bumper, skirts, and arches are one of the best combos I've seen.

Thanks all,
Yes, the front air dam is from a kit designed to go on a stock RX-7 with side moldings, so it's understandable that there's a spot for the front license place. I like it...although I don't plan on putting a front plate on.

Tomorrow I'll be going to the parts store to get extended lugs for the rear as well as an angle grinder to trim the brake shield so it doesn't scrape the inside of the 13s.
