170 Km is about 106 MPH, this is a 12a 100 hp 20year old car, that's probably all she's got without doing a lot of restoration to restore the original hp readings. So in agreement with others you've run out of power to overcome your drag at 170 KmPH

If you do it yourself and all your engine's main components are in spec, and you don't lap the housings, you can do it for like $1500. Check out rebuild kits at www.racingbeat.com www.atkinsrotary.com and www.mazdatrix.com

Do an anvanced search and look for threads in the second gen section done by Aaron Cake . There you'll find his Engine Build thread which has some amazingly awesome pictures from when he rebuilt his engine. That will give you an idea what you're up against.

Yea lol I think I will do everything elce first. I don't supose you could give me a list of things to look for/check/repair, just incase I am missing something?
