got wheels!!!

hey guys, i got a friend that gave me his old (early 90s) wheels that came off his civic. ive heard that sa22/fb have 4x110 lug pattern, which means i cant fit the wheels on. can anybody verify this, please? it would be a waste coz the wheels look really cool and they are 13x7.5 ATS 5 spoke.

Yeah, the 1st gen non -SE RX-7s have 4x110, but I thought civics had 4x100? The GSL-SE RX-7s have 4x114.3

ahhhh.... o well, i guess im just gonna give those to my friend.
so, what is a good wheel for sa22/fb? and what size do you guys use for normal street driving? the 7 is gonna be a daily driver soon as i fix the clutch and other minor things with it. the stock wheels look cool, but i want something around 15x7 range.

Hoo check out on www.cpracing.ca they sell a kit for the 5 bolt conversion, the same bolt pattern then the second gens have. It's 325$ US for the conversion kit, it comes with all the installation stuff needed.

the cp racing conversion kit looks very unsafe.. i mean there are only 3 bolts holding everyhting to the car.. and there not in a triangle pattern either

Look at the pattern used.

It appears to be three cap screws and one stud.

The one at the bottom of the picture should be a stud that goes through the adapter into the hub flange.

tell you what, if it's such a "load of crap", why don't you design and build something better, and sell it to us cheaper? Until you do that, keep opinions like that to yourself.

Maybe its just me but for $325 you could buy two fairly expensive wheels? So what is the point of converting your bolt pattern to save money if its going to cost you the same or more in the long run? You wouldn't be saving any money???

Panasports... tough to find a lighter, more "suitable" wheel for these cars.. little high on the price(especially if you get the lightweight version), but not too bad, if you're serious about getting new wheels. Only problem is that they're love/hate wheels. You either love them or hate them...

thanks for all your posts guys.
i think the old school ssr's are really sweet, especially the cherry blossoms and the star sharks. but i dont think they make them anymore.
im not sure about cp racing's 5 lug conversion, i think it would be safer to do a gsl-se hub swap. although their rack conversion does sound interesting.

as for panasports, i just love the way they look. any idea where i can get them in nor cal area and how much they would cost?

If you want the Panasports, do a search for K-Speed or something like that... I believe they're in State College, PA or somewhere nearby... they seem to have really good prices on the stuff. Also, you might want to take a look at Compomotive wheels.. I think they might offer something in our funky bolt pattern.. and lastly, my personal (available) favorite wheel for these cars is the older American Racing "Flat 5" wheel.. they can be difficult to find, but I really REALLY like them...
