got this today for free!!!
just got this today from my cousin for free!!! and i was wondering would this work well as a pre-silencer??? if so should i put it where the cat is located???

I have one of those as my ONLY main muffler on my '82, running the stock exhaust manifold with 2.5" pipe to that thing, and its quieter than my '85 with full RB header, presilencer, and huge muffler.

I run a 3" Dynaflow muffler in place of the pre-silencer and it sounds great.
