I was headed home early to take care of the goats when just before my exit (85N, exit 137) there were lots of brake lights and I slowed down, in the right lane for a change. A south bound accident has caused our north bound traffic to slow and I have to say there were about ten or twelve drivers who did just that (did I mention the rain?). Anyway, everyone slowed down except one semitrailor, which impacted a Ford 250 pickup driven by a mom and her two kids, who were in the back seat. She turns out to be a horse vet in town, and we have a horse, anyway. The kids were OK, but shattered in glass (you should have seen the bed of the pickup). Anyway, the ford slammed into a dodge SUV, which then went down the road a bit and slammed into me. She (the dodge driver) got a nasty cut on her head and the semi diver went down an embankment and jack knifed the rig, but he seemed to be alright, shaken up and maybe a broken collar bone from the seat belt. My car can be fixed, but damn, there goes my virgin paint job. Take care!
