Got a Deal!!

Hey guys I just got the deal of a life time! I just picked up a complete 12a turbo set-up for $295!! The "kit" includes the J-spec manifold and downpipe, T-03 turbo from a Nissan, Holley 600 with modded 82' intake, and the ducting to the carb! Now, I have a little knowlege of turbo theory, but I would really appreciatte some advise from someone who has had some experience turbo-charging a 12a. I need to know where to start, (jets, carb calibration, etc.) I want to run the Secondaries very rich to compensate for boost leaning (around 6psi.) Like I said, I am new to turbo-charging so I would REALLY appreciate any help that you guys can give me.
Thanks, Jason

first off pick up a msd-6btm ,this way you will get an upgraded ignition system, which you will need, and also soft touch rev control, plus the all mighty important boost timing retard,it will retard your ignition timing as boost increases, very usefull.

the unit is fairly simple to install, just some wires here and there under the engine bay,

i seen a car with a turbo charged 12a on one of the fast fours a rotarys video,it was amazingly fast, the guy said "everyone says 12a's dont go,but this 12a showed them all"or something to that effect.

you did get a great deal though,if i were to hear a deal like that id grab it in less the 10 seconds.just like that.

I was a little slow, it took me about 11.5 seconds to jump all over this deal, but I am glad that I did! That MSD box you are talking about solves one of my problems! retarding the ignition on boost without using a bunch of stupid vacuum diaphrams!! Thanks for the advise! Now how much? Oh yeah, my engine is stock- ported, will it take to turbo-charging well? I don't see why not with the proper carb calibrations. I am thinking about ditching the junk 600cfm carb that came with the deal and getting a new 450 cfm Holley. I think this carb will match my application a little better. BTW if any of you guys and girls are thinking of turboin' your rides or if you just want to learn a little more about it you have to check out "Turbochargers" by Hughs MacInnes. This book has answered almost all of my questions and gave me some really good ideas! Check it Out!! Thanks again and keep the ideas coming! Jason

i think you should stick with the holley that came with it just so you dont lean out, dont forget to wire in those oil metering lines.
the msd box is around $300.00 - $350.00
just grab a used one from ebay.
