Good mechanics tool set for the FB?

For the past 8 years I've been using one of those kits that has a little bit of everything, ya know, wrenches, sockets, a pair of pliers, screwdrivers, etc. Not the best quality, but has served my needs most of the time.

Problem is it skips over some of the metric sizes, etc. I'd like to get a new set. A good one with all the metric sizes for sockets and wrenches.

What do you guys have?

Right on.

Costco had this set of Crescent tools, I think it was a 200 piece, but Im not sure. I should know, I have one. But anyways, it 200 bucks, and has a shitload of tools. 9mm sockets in 1/2 drive and crap. Very extensive. If they still have them, its an awesome deal.

for an fb. all you need is a good set of metric wrenches and sockets from 8mm to 19mm. you might need up to 22mm if you plan on removing the rear end. a couple extentions and a swivel head. your set.

A 27 is needed for the Oil lines

I have a Craftsman Metric Open/Closed set. A Metric Combo Set, and then a 3/8 1/2 Socket Set, Deep and Shallow with 6 and 12 pt. Added an 18 inch 1/2 pull handle for the 1/2 stuff for the really stuck bolts.

same theres a nice new set thats very compact that just came out well...you know "just"...but anyway it has like 225 tools...really complete and fairly small in size I'd go with that if I were going to buy a new set...

At least get quality wrench and socket sets. 3/8" and 1/2" drive. 7mm-22mm. Craftsman, Kobalt, and Home depot has a decent line of tools.
