Good bye cruel world
Those brakes on the front of a n 85 GS are driving me over the edge! or around the bend. The Haynes manual stinks. I can only go by what might fit where. Four strange clips go on the brake pads . Swing the pad frame out of the way, then set pads inside and swing th caliper over them . ok? then where does the last big clip go.? Think I may give up and have it towed to Tuffy. We beat them and this must be the Emporer's revenge.

The last big clip (coat hanger) goes into the hole in the PAD (thin side) and wedges against the caliper on the other side.
Is that what you're talking about.

Hey 64mbB, that is one sweet 64 MGB! I have an orange 78 with the wire wheels, but nothing as nice as that one. Maybe Bob should scrap his Japanese bolt bin for one of those engineering wonders the Brittish used to make! What I really like about my B is the tune ups with each tank of gas, you really get that mechanic feeling. And Bob, the brakes on the MG are a piece of cake!

Hey guys!! tell me all about Lucas electrics, when I was 17 I biught a Jaguar Saloon , the wireing was fried but still ther. It took me almost a year ,one wire at a time to replace it and convert toGerman stuff like Bosch. The pictures you tipped me off to are so much better than the manuals . thanks to all of you for helping an old fart out. I got in trouble for slurring those wonderful people who gave us pearl harbor to remember. Nagasaki bolt bucket has been uttered. Bob
