hey boys and girls I already know all your feeling on the ricer generation but I'm toying with custom wide body designs and have a new wing the wife picked up for my bday... will post pics as soon as the entire thing is done on the outside but here is a pic of the wing.

it actually fits the car well in terms of styling and design. the center is exactly the dimentions to follow the lines of the hatch...

again to each his or her own but no major flames and none of the **** like "how can he do this to a rex" and "when I meet him I'm gonna beat his ***"

btw when I get a chance I will post drawings of what the finished product will be... and give a description of the interior

I don't really like the wing, but my god 1st gen owners here are so anti-rice it's not even funny... go to e-bay and look up the viper aluminum wing i think it suits the car much better... personally i'm going for the wrap around wing with the arch in the center.

you'd be surprised that curved center section mimics the rear window hatch perfectly... the only thing that sux is the fact that the base of the stantions are too long so therefore you get the overhang that requires the mod done on the fess up thread.

I plan on fabbing up some custom stantions that remedy that problem with mine. Thanks for the support ie not flaming and taking this with the grain of salt required...

btw - the car will be midnight metallic blue and this wing has a slight blue tinge to it

I have thoughts. I think I just may be a closet ricer cause I like your wing and yes it will follow the hatch PERFECTLY, I know this cause I checked by taking the same wing and removed the stands and laid it on the back of the car. Perfect in every way. Try making stands that are much shorter so the wing sits only a few inches above the body, then post pics.

LOL, I was going to say something about coming out of the closet! I have always liked the rear wings, just never have found one that works on the 1st gen. and was always afraid of others opinions.

Those wings never used to be "rice". The wings began over in Europe in the touring car series.......we just adopted them over here on the "rice" cars and unfortunatly has become a "rice" ad on

its about time you guys started realizing its about the person and the car... thanks all, I thought it was an awsome b-day present and my wife is psyched...

Like I said before the exterior will be midnight metallic blue with a possible carbon fiber hood to match the wing. the hood of course will be one off as there are no cf hoods available for the first gen. besides it now has to have the blue tinge as well.

The front end will look something like this:

The rear will most likely be the mariah mode 1 rear quarters. Tail lights will stay stock as I am partial to them. Molding of course will be shaved as will the factory antenna. Antenna to be replaced with the SAAB 2" antenna center mounted infront of the rear window squirts.

The interior will get the italian treatment. I have a Nardi Tourino (sp) steering wheel with other fine wood additions as well as brushed stainless accents. Seats are up in the air right now. Shift **** will be the special rotor engraved, have to stick some special rotary parts in the car.

Battery to be relocated someplace in the back not sure maybe behind the passenger seat... if so then two eight inch sube will reside in the center back and an amp behind the driver. Have to be carful not to add too much weight so some of the audio equip may change.

Engine treatment will include second gen intake (hopefully the later n/a intake) until I can perfect a turbo system. The turbo I have in mind is the T04e... ball bearing if I can find one and both water and oil cooled. Street ported 13b gslse converted to 4 port with repu rotors to allow the boost to be cranked.

Exhaust will include custom fabbed turbo header and free flowing cat back to some 3" setup wanna go dual rear exit but have not figured out how I will accomplish this.

Opinions wanted...

btw almost forgot starting out with an 85 SE...

T04e does not come in ball-bearing - its a conventional truck turbo...the Garrett GT series is what you're after for ball-bearing with similar sizing.

Agreed. I like spoilers on just about any car. However, IMO, I've yet to see a spoiler on the 1st Gen that doesn't detract from its appearance...front or rear.

I am not really into the body kits on a 1st gen but that is one sweet looking ride! Excellent work... it looks integrated and complete, not half-asses, tacked or bolted on. Nice job!!!

we only do it to protect the comunity as a whole, we dont want people thinking our cars are in the rice class, because technically there not.

IMO these cars are japan sports car, just like american sports cars, but made in another country.

theres only a few cars that rolled out of the japanese market that I give respect to and they are,
Mazda RX7
Toyota supra
Nissan 300zx
Acura NSX

those are the real contenders, the top of the line import sports cars, looking at the class, style, and price of the compairison cars I think its very easy to see how a honda civic does NOT fit in this class.

Therefore most people would not in any way like there cars to be referred to in any way with the civic or other alike cars.

I'm just rambling, makes sense to me
