give me some supporting words for my project, i need them

im trying to get my car ready for the Deal's Gap meet. its an 80 with lots of mods. what i have to accomplish in two weeks is finish the 5 lug suspension swap and get it running.

heres a run down on the car:

i bought the car about a year ago and since then i have been buying parts for it. i started trying to get the car ready for the DG meet a few months back. when i got the car it had a stock 70's 4 port 13b but now i have a ported 4 port 13b with S5 internals. the car hasnt ever ran since ive had it. it sat for about 4 years or so before i got it.

heres a list of basically what i have left:

-get the 5 lug hubs installed(encounted a problem with the bearinsg where the hub wont go on)
-install new tranny and LSD fluid and i cant find redline or royal purple anywhere in my town, a friend who does dirt track racing told me to try what he uses but i need to get him the specs on what grade and howm uch i need and hell get me a quote.
-tap out starter whole where bolt broke when trying to remove it
-get the 4x114 to 5x114 adapters installed on the rear
-finish hooking up the fuel lines
-install the dellorto
-hook up the header and exhaust
-install FC radiator(still waiting to get here)
-install FD alternator with Pineapple racing alt relocation kit
-swap dizzy from 80 style to 81-85 style
-install brake pads(front and rear)
-install wheels
-worst of all, wire up the engine

here are a list of problems im worried about:

-encountering a problem with the rear lug pattern adapters
-the front wheels rubbing due to backspacing
-having LOTS of problem wiring up the engine(previous owner hacked up the
wiring harness real good)
-encountering problems with front or rear calipers
-basically it not running right, or not at all

what scares me the most is the wiring. i thought about getting the wiring harness from another car from the engine bay forward and trying to use it, but the only harnesses i have available are a GSLSE and one from an 83. i think ill try it the way it is now. i dont want to really rush this and do a really shitty job just to drive it to the DG meet. i wont drive it there anyways unless im sure its 100% capable of the drive. if i dont get the car ready then ill be riding with my friend in his Mazdaspeed protege to the meet. thats not a big deal, but id like to go in a wankel, plus i havent driven a rotary car in so long. this car stresses me the heck out sometimes.

ill post some pics of my progress in a couple days

In 2 weeks time, assuming you have a job, I do not think it is realistic to have all this accomplished and have the bugs out.
But DO plan to go to the DG meet with your piston pal. There is no better support and inspiration than seeing what other examples of cars there are, and talking about the art with others.

Some of the cars here in the forum are great examples of fine workmanship, but it takes time to do those things. Give yourself the time, and use it wisely.

Now there is an example of a rushed job. Or is it just me that thinks those goose bumps are ugly?

ahhh the girlfriend time...i always thought working on the rx7 was fun for every1 make her get under there with a wrench. and tell her all the money you where going tospend on dates and gifts are going to to the car wooooot...or get her brain washed to love cars... come to think of it the 2nd idea will work better for you

rotaries only---thanks

rotary weasel---if they get here stiff ill put a return to sender back on them that way you can hide the evidence. if any are still alive and kicking...itll be time for her to boost my moral

capt murph--i do have a full time job, if i didnt this would be a piece of cake. i think i could get it all together but im more worried about working out the bugs. id rather not have my car at the meet and take my time and do it right rather than rush it and do a shitty job. itll just suck to go without the seven.

81gsl12a--we used to date a couples years ago when i had my first rx7 and when we started dating again this time we were talking about it and she started telling me how she really liked my car. at that point i knew she was a keeper now i just have to talk her into ditching the pistons and going with the wankel

UPDATE:

i couldnt get the hubs to fit right on the front. they wouldnt slide on far enough for the spindle to stick out. so i bought new bearings. i compared those to the ones i already had(they were new as well) they were the exact same. i took them to work today to try to press them in farther. i didnt notice the lip until after we had tried for a minute. so im going to try again either tonight or tomorrow and see what i can come up with. i may not get to work on the car tonight. my bestfriend is moving to wyoming to go to Wyotech and he leaves tomorrow so ill either be hanging out with him or we may hangout at his shop(where my 7 is). ill try to take some pics tonight.
