Unhappy Getting out of the Game Guys.

Well Fellas, after 11 years of owning my baby it's finally time to say goodbye. I took my last drive in her today, and then took her apart. The main reason for this is that I just don't have anytime anymore to enjoy her. I work so many hours and travel so much that I've only put about 200miles in 1year. I knew it would be hard to sell her in one piece, so I decided to part her out. The Microtech, turbo and Cosmo Intake where sold today to a friend of mine. I have some other stuff to sell including my brand new shortblock "New FD Housings" and other small things. When I'm done selling all the parts, I guess I'll sell the body on Ebay or maybe here as a roller.

I have to go ge ready for a date, but tomorrow evening I'll start a thread in the 1stgen parts forum wihh all the goodies for sale.

My girl

Noooooo! Sounds like you have had a good run. Any reason for parting out and not selling as a whole car? I always thought your car was was one of the nicest wide bodied examples. Good luck on the date buddy!!!

A sad day indeed. I'm sorry to hear that you are getting rid of it. Such a beautiful car. I hope that whoever buys it as a rolling chassis treats it well and takes great care of it, along with hoping it goes to another die hard rx7 guy.

Thanks Man,

I think it would take to long to find a buyer, and I really would'nt even know how much to ask for her. As as roller, I could ask for much less and maybe some here can just drop a 12a and back on the road.

Remember that she has Rack and Pinion, Turbo2 tranny, driveshaft and RB 4:44 gears. And lets not forget the brand new wheels and tires.

BTW: I hope I get lucky tonight, Cause it was a sad day ripping her apart today.

Holy crap man this is a shocker. Your car has inspired me with my project, seeing you getting out of the sevens is truly a downer.

Not to sound eager, but how much you want for the rear rims, only problem with them is the 4 bolt pattern still...

I'm differently interested in alot of the other things the car had. We can do some dealing if you want.

Aw man.....and I always thought of you as my counterpart....

West and East
Red and Blue
Mild and Wild

Ah well,I understand though.Thats part of the reason Im grateful that I got my car actually done, and done for good.I dont have to find time/money to work on or modify it.......and theres less chance of a future "better half" telling me, "That damn project car cost too much money, get rid of it!"

I know what you mean. I got 6 cars total. With 2 kids to drop off of which one hates the smell of raw gas and loud exhaust, I cant drive any of my RX during week days. Lucky me, my neighbors are cool. They dont mind me revving the hell out of the RX-3 and FB while parked in the driveway. And of course, thats at night while relaxing/drinking my heine's.

Damn, this is sad and shocking. Hate to see you giving up your wb. Your probably right on getting more out of parts than a complete car. I guess accoring to Steve, I'm the mid-black-rat then

Wow. Words can't express enough how devastating that makes us feel. But, don't worry, the RX community are the best scavengers on the planet. So, feel good knowing that you parting the car out, will let another live a little longer. Still, I hate to hear it.

So what? It's paid for. If it's running, then keep it damn it! You think Jay Leno or Jerry Seinfield get to even drive all their cars every year? No.

I think you need to get a ride in my car, for 5 minutes, to change your mind.

I might be interested in some engine parts, including the housings.

Too late!! Parting out has already begun. I'll post pics later on 2nite. I have'nt sold anything here yet. Some local friends came by today and took a few things, but I have more left.

I'll try and start a new thread when I get home or maybe tomorrow.
