Either that or post them on another site and think link to that address using the following structure:

The photo will magically appear in your message.

Gimp.org. You will need GTK+ installed on a Windows computer but GIMP is free and I would say is equal to PhotoShop. You can resize all images of different formats with it. Web images should be flattened, and you can either use jpg, gif, or png. I like png files myself.

The simplest I have found is using paint which I beleive most computers already have on them. You can modify your pictures right after you download them on your computer. I just am not computer savy enough to explain how to use it to George.

Croping Files with Microsoft Paint

1. Right click on the image file you what to shrink/crop.
2. Select the "Open With" option.
3. Another side window will appear with a list of programs. Choose "Paint".
4. If you do not see "Paint" as an option then select "Choose Program" and select "Paint" in the newly opened window.
5. Now that your picture is opened in Microsoft Paint, you are ready to go.
6. Hold the "Ctrl" key and press the "w" key.
7. The "Stretch/Skew" window will appear.
8. Now simply size the picture based on the Horizontal and Vertical percentages in the window.
9. Normally I use 60% in both and that will do the trick.
10. Save the file with a different name so it doesn't overwrite your original copy.

All Finished.....

Another vote for IrfanView. Free, and a lot easier to use than Gimp.

Angry Computer dummy George again.

XLR8 Your approach seems logical, however you left some steps out. Do I open up the rx7 club home page first? How do I save the file with a different name? I am starting to think that any of you that want to see this car of mine let me know and I will mail pictures. I am , I think that I am a very intelligent person until it comes to computers. If you could walk me thru this as if you were dealing with some one that has very limited knowledge of a computer it might work. Remember ! all the steps from the erection to the resurection . this is my last shot if I can,t figure it out F*** IT George....

I havent read any of your other threads before, what are you wanting to do? Upload Pics on here? I can type a walk-thru for you

If you want to upload a Jpg it has to be smaller than like 150Kb's, it is better to get a Photobucket accout (Free) and then upload them there and they will resize them automaticly and then they will give you a Link to paste in a reply box and your photo will show up on here

George, if you don't want to bother learning how to use photoshop type programs to reformat your photos, you can just upload them to an external server, like cardomain or, as noted in the post above, photobucket. I load mine directly from the camera without resizing, usually as files of about 1 MG. You can even upload videos to youtube and places like that that host videos. Then copy the address of the photo or video and paste it into your post here, using this format:

It is really simple and the photos will appear in your thread as the original photos, not as ones that have been reduced to fit the rather restrictive RX7.club file size limits.

Here's an example. Here is the internet address of a photo I have on cardomain:

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...57_88_full.jpg

Now, if I put after the address, it comes out like this:

I'm no computer junky, if I can do it, you can do it!

And we would love to see pictures of your car!

Ray

I use a little freebie program called PIXresizer which is great. I automatically defaults to the perfect size for email or posting, but of course you can set it for any size you want. I highly recommend it.

www.photobucket.com

follow the prompts to register an account.

once you are in your account go to your "album"

there should be a box with a button next to it labelled "Browse"

hit browse and find the file then hit open

once you ahve done this then hit the button labelled "upload"

once this has happened, you should see a little thumbnail box

below this are a number of URLs. click on the bottom link

this will automatically copy it

paste link into reply box on 7club

hit "submit reply"

winner!

george,

scroll to the bottom of the page where you see the box to type a reply into
just below the box you see two buttons
the one on the right says "go advanced"
click it
scroll down that page a little until you see the "manage attachments" button
click it
youll bring up a new small window
in that window you click the browse buttons and then locate the files on your computer. you can only do 5 at a time. you have to do 5, post, then post again doing 5 more. after you select them click "upload" button
then on the main window you have up click the "submit reply button"
youre finished
