Question Gear Shift Wobbly. Something Loose?

I noticed the other day that my gear shifter is very wobbly. It doesn't go back to center when I put it into neutral...it just kind of wobbles wherever I push it. It doesn't give the bounces it used to. It's hard to describe. When I push it to the right, towards reverse, it bounces back, but that bounce just isn't there when I push it to the left. How do I fix this? What's even wrong?

The shifter return spring broke. It's a small spring that wraps around the shaft. It requires the tranny to be removed to fix it. You can live with it or fix it. It depends on your priorities. Feel like dropping a tranny?

Thanks guys! I'm planning on replacing my clutch+flywheel+throwout bearing soon, so I'll fix that when the tranny gets dropped.
