Gauges for non smokers

I think I've seen gauges in the ashtray area before, but I'm not sure. They could've been below the stereo.

Anyone have these? As I recall, the area isn't that deep.

Got pics? What'd you use to mount them? What type of gauges did you use (Brand, Style, What does it measure, etc)?

I have an Autometer oil pressure gauge where the ashtray was in my rx3. Not sure the diameter, I think it's 2.25" or 2.5".
It's held in with a short piece of coat hanger looped under the guage and mounted with the 2 screws that held the slide for the ashtray. Without looking from under the gauge, u'd never know how it was mounted. This is the only pic I have.

I have 2 gauges and an EQ in the place of where my ashtray used to be. Basically cut out the ashtray area, took a sheet of plastic to cover the whole area and cut holes for a DIN stereo, EQ and 2 gauges. Covered the whole thing in carbon fiber overlay. I'll post some pics when I get home(at work now).

Here's mine.

The gauges are Cyberdyne digital. Water temp and Volts. The big hole is for the radio.

No, only 1 radio. The other is an EQ.

Looks good! I had an eq and radio like yours but it made the bezel to weak and it was flimsy so I went back to just a radio. What size plastic (thickness) did you use? Does it firm up the bezel a little using the plastic or is it just cosmetic?

No joke about it weakening the bezel. There might be an 1/8 inch between the radio and EQ. I'm not sure how think the plastic sheet is. It's not very thin. Combine it with the overlay and bolting the radio and eq together made it pretty tight.
