gauges inop..

got my 85 GSL going (see thread: https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-general-discussion-207/85-gsl-restoration-874329/) and am starting the restoration on it but i have some initial issues. the oil pressure gauge maxes out. this happens with the ignition switch turned to the on position with or without the sender plugged it..makes me think that the wiring for the sender is grounded or pinched somewhere..

next, the coolant temp gauge does not work.. i swapped it out with a known good unit and still nothing. the other gauges work just fine and i'm kinda stuck with this until i can get some input. i coud trace all of the wiring and i have the FSM but i was hoping someone has had experience with this issue and could save me a lot of work. here's a short video of the issue:

got the issue sorted out. the capacitor wiring was plugged into the coolant temp sender location.. got the right connector on the coolant temp sender and got the capacitor plugged in and all is well.
