Gauge cluster problem .. I think ...

Ok I noticed tonight while driving my 7 that the gauge cluster is messed up as it is the temp. gauge works .. the speedometer works and tachometer works .. The problem is the pil pressure gauge goes from middle ways I think is 60 to 0 and the car runs fine with no problems while it's on 0 and then eventually it goes back to 60 .. Do you think this is just the gauge messing up or could it be something else ..

Popular problem... It's a bad connection at the sender...

I believe it's located near the filter. Single connection. Ya can't miss it... It's covered in oil.

The stock gauges are NUTORIOUSLY INACCURATE, it's been suggested to get an aftermarket one... Many people use mechanical ones...

I'm not a fan of running fluid lines into the cabin... My brother's uncle's second cousin's former college roommate had one blow and pump oil into the cabin. I suggest an aftermarket electric one in the A pillar for quick reading... Along with aftermarket oil and/or water temp gauges.

And if it is right, then watch out as you're not suppose to run at idle less than 15psi oil pressure.

Does the guage reading increase to nearly 60psi as you increase the rpms or is it just intermittently varying?

I'd do like Pele suggested and replace it when you can. For now get under the hood and check and clean the connection.
