Gaskets for S4 water pump swap?

For those of you who did the S4 water pump housing/pump swap, did you use the gaskets for the S4 or 12a? I noticed the part numbers are different for the two. Also, in my searches on the swap, I saw that a couple of people found an aluminum S4 water pump. Is there a part number or name of a supplier for one of these? Thanks!

They are different btwn the two... The holes that line up to bolt the pump through the housing to the block/front plate are not the same.

I remember getting by and making the 2nd gen pump work but there was one bolt that had no provision for it to catch threads in the front plate and it always had a slow drip no matter what I did.

That's just my own personal exprience... If somene else knows how to get it to work 100% then I'm not aware of it without extrawork being done vs a straight swap.

As for the gaskets... Go to any auto parts store and pick up a sheet of gasket paper. The waterpump gasket especially is such a easy cut you'll be able to make one up in 5 min no problem, now and any time in the future. It's been worth it for me 10 times over already and there's still plenty left.

Thanks 85TIIDEVIL. I'm about to get a S4 housing bead blasted and buy a wp but don't know if I could live with a leak, no matter how small, because of a mod (different story if I didn't know about it!).
