Try to find a partyard or a local rotary shop that has a used one. You can get a used one professionally cleaned and sealed for chep. Even if it has a hole in it, as long as there isn't a huge amount of damage or rust, you can get it rebuilt, cleaned and sealed for less than a new tank.

Or at least I can here, since shipping and exchange from the US is brutal.

$357USD becomes $591CDN (after exhange, tax and handling) not including shipping for me.

If that is a Mazda factory price, you can save about 25 percent off of that by calling Ralph Hatley at Almaden Mazda.

Marlin Mazda in Miami. Factory price was $364 and $88. You might want to try Mazdaperformance at the top of this forum.

While on the subject..The sending unit controls the gas guage. I think it might be going out or is not reading right because when I have a full tank of gas, the guage only shows a little over 3/4. How hard is it to replace the sending unit? It would be nice to know cause I will replace this in the future. Its been like this almost since I first baught the car, I just saw this and thought I would ask.

ok That was pretty detaild. But I guess it doesnt sound to hard. As for how much I have spent on my car.... If I add everything that I have ever spent on it including the car itself, it comes to about 14 gs. I paid a thousand for the car.

How do you go about getting a "Discount price" at a mazda dealer? There are a lot of things I'd probably get at the dealer if I could get any sort of a discount!
