Gas in my oil, lots of it

I baught another rx7 a little while back and the owner said it didnt run and he didnt know what the problem was. I started it up and it ran, only when i mashed the gas and held it to the floor, even then it didnt want to get past 4 thousand rpms. The car blew alot of gas smelling smoke and after a while of running the car i noticed some gas and oil on the ground. SO i shut it off and checked the dipstick, it was covered with fuel soaked oil. On a piston engine that would mean that your headgasket has gone or your intake manifold gasket. I have no idea how that gas got into the oil on the rotary? Bad apex seals?

I've seen this before.....cant seem to remember what caused it but I'm sure it wasnt the Apex seals.

Severe flooding is about the only way to get fuel into the oil. Fuel can leak past the oil control seals far easier than oil can. Change the oil, before running it any longer. Oil diluted with gas will wash the bearings out, in a hurry.

Yep, flooding will do that. As to why it's not running correctly now, probably a carb issue (duh)...
