gas milage wtf!

not complaining! but I just filled my FB up for the 2nd time and I got 34.8MPG.

/best/ rx7 milage I've ever gotten, BY FAR!

2g dfis seems to have helped, it's otherwise bone stock.

first tank I only managed 24mpg.

Is that 4.5 liters per gallon or 3.78 liters per gallon?

I've done 30 miles per 3.78 liters before, and I considered that to be extreme asskickery...

24mpg is on the high side of bone stock, too.

Wow, that.....doesn't seem quite right. Are you sure someone's not putting gas in your tank when you're not looking?

i'm still calling "wrong gallons".

34mpg Imperial (4.5l/gal) is 27.2mpg US (3.78l/gal) which is still rather good for a carbed rotary.

24mpg Imperial is 19.2mpgUS which is about average for a carbed rotary.

Common problem to deal with. It's why cars you read about in magazines from the UK seem to get such good fuel economy, Imperial gallons are larger!

edit: those numbers are imprecise, i used the wrong conversion factor, but they are close enough for illustrative purposes, running late for work no time to fix

Perhaps if you were idling on the back of a truck which was driving down the freeway...

Wow, impressive. I manage that while my car is in the driveway. So what do you get on the road?

as my girl sits she is getting 19mpg w/ a sterling carb and straight pipes. Tho car has been shaved by 250lbs. I am hoping to get over 20 with the 2GIDFISwTT. Before doing anything with the car I got 24mpg. You pay the price for preformance. Also to note initially when I did the sterling swap I was getting 15mpg w/ stock exhaust and untuned carb (great fireballs and backfires).
