Gas on ACV gasket?

Decided it's time to rip out the ACV... Just did that and found that the gasket (on the ACV) is covered with a thin layer of gas. The gasket is also very black, but looks OK. No puddles of gas on on the inside of the ACV though... Is this because of a leaking carb gasket? Or is this normal?
