Fusable link ratings?

So who knows how to convert the fusable link ratings (1.25 sq, 0.3 sq, etc...) to amps? Nothing found on the search, but lots of people have done it.

I'm doing the FC fuse block conversion and want to know for sure that I'm connecting to the right amp rating--of course I could just guestimate--if I must.

Thanks, Scott

My fusible links were dead, so while I was at rx7heaven I asked if they had any. He just pulled out a box and handed me three of the big ones (I'd assume 80amp) and said there, use those. When I asked if it mattered, he said it wouldn't.

Was he shittin me?

they'll work, but your headlight motors and headlights, and their respective wiring will burn out now, faster than the fusible links will... which could potentially cause a fire is there's a short anywhere ever...

fusible links are just like fuses... they protect wiring and electrical devices from damage should there be too much energy put through them (amperage). Don't mess with the ratings... that's like putting a 20A fuse where there should be a 5A for the radio or whatever...

The weakest Link

That's right! The fusable links are the "weakest" link in the circuit--by design. That way the link burns out and not your wiring or component.
