funny sounding...

I have a Holly Blue fuel pump, and it's audible over my full RB exhaust and Holly 465 with RB intake, but when i'm at a stoplight, and i turn on my turn signal, the fuel pump starts to make a pulsing sound. I'm assuming this is because of the 55 Amp alternator not being to supply enough juice to run everything at once. What I was wondering is if this problem could be corrected with a small, in line capacitor.

More likely it's a bad ground...

Unless you have a bug stereo, your alt shouldn't have a problem...

Try a grounding kit...

i have a grounding kit on my engine, i'll run a new ground wire from my pump to a screw and see if that helps, or are you talking about a bad ground on the battery?

Either the battery, light, or pump has a bad connection (probably ground) causing it to draw too much current to work... that's my best guess...

my talon used to do that... i put a walboro pump in it.. and every time i flipped the turn signal it would pulsate.. didnt affect anything.. especially since i only use my turn signals for about 2 seconds..

Or you alt isn't putting out enough power... could be losing power in it's old age... you could get it tested if nothing else helps...
