if it's for an 84-85 North American interior, no it won't. See my previous post in this thread about side vents.

So when are you going to address this obvious atrocity regarding the earlier models not having such a product, Manntis?

Still trying to make a nice cupholder unit for the older models. Between film production, running a retail store, and being webmaster/operator of a couple of online stores my development time has temporarily dwindled to embarassingly brief snippets of time

With all the unemployed tech-heads out there, surely you can pay some down-on-his-luck guy minimum wage or less to take some of that workload offaya...

Us '80 - '83 rexheads need our EL gauges, cupholders and pillar pods, maihn!!

there was previously talks of lotek doing the full pillar for the earlier models as well but they are waiting to see the outcome of this current run of 84 and 85...

Like I said the sooner this gets moving the more likely we are to get what we want... with the earier stuff too

On the guagepods.com web page they have a item number for 79-83 A-pillar pods. Toxic d, do you know if they have developed anything, or they are just taking orders? I emailed them ask for a picture, and i got a very brief non-informative response.

Here's the email:
(read from the bottom up)

I'm thinking they might not have pictures of the pods because they do not exhist. But, if they do, i think i could use one.

On another note. I found out something cool when i got my '79. The miata ash tray is exactly the same as the SA ash tray. which means, you can get a miata ash tray replacement cup holder, and drop it right in your SA's. it fits perfectly! So buy one!

Maguire, please note that the 79-83 that is available is an add on pod...

"Add two 2 1/16" gauges to your 1979 - 1983 RX7
Double Add-on Pod"

That is the exact text from the web site. I am calling today to check the status of the 84-85, as for the 79-83 it is currently available only as an add-on.

You use crappy double stick tape and tape the add-on to your existing A-pillar....

An add on pod does just that, it adds on the pods to your existing pillar. The full pillar replacment does just that, it replaces your entire pillar.

The add-ons are already available as I understand it for the earlier years, its only the full pillar replacement that they are taking orders on. I could be misinformed though.
