Fuel system question

The fuel tank has to be vacuum tight right? Would it not being sealed completely tight cause it too flood? Eye was under the impression that if there wasn’t some sort of a vaccum for the fuel to return to the tank, it won’t go back to the tank right? I’m just really stumped on solving this issue, carb is still flooding after trying everything. Still running the stock pump granted eye wired in a relay that’s switched to the ignition in the same way the pump is always on for the voltage drop. Still haven’t gotten my baby running

Stock pump, feed and return lines? The pressure/volume of fuel not needed by engine returns back to the fuel tank via return line. You could remove return line and put hose in gas can to verify fuel is flowing back. Blow into return line at firewall and listen for air in gas tank to verify line is not obstructed.

also yes all stock, eye wired in that relay before it was a problem so eye know that is all okay. Eye figure that all the hoses are still good and what not but I’m gunna have to check them out, put a new filter while I’m at it
