Drum axles in disc housing?
So I have a full drum rear end out of a 85 gs, then I have a 1985 gsl disc housing. What I'm wondering is can I get disc backing plates and use those with my drum axles? I'll obviously have to get all the other disc parts caliper, rotors, etc..

Hey Guys,
Would 84 GS Drum axles work on GSL-SE rear end? Would I able to swap over the brake calipers, brake rotors and dust shields from the GSL-SE axles?
Thanks,

To original question - yes the drum axles and GSL axles are the same so you can swap them
Aeenox: As for putting drum axles in a SE housing - yes they will fit, but the lug pattern is obviously different, and the distance between the axle bearing and hub portion of the axle is longer on the SE (which is why SE wheels have a different offset than the rest of the FB wheels) - so you will have all sorts of compatibility issues...
