fuel pump wires:

Is the striped wire positive? i'm about 97% sure it is, i just want a double check. That would assume that the solid black wire is negative.

Easy enough to turn on the key and touch the wires to the frame to find juice...

That's a good plan .. BUT .. when your dealing FUEL pump, next to FUEL TANK ... SPARKS aren't really a "freidnly" factor :P the stripped wire is usually the + ... I actually had my car aplifier's remote hooked up to it mouhaha ... NE hoo, it's been a while but, to my recollection , + = stripped, - = the black one ...

The dude abides.

Yeah, and w/ the sparks thing, i dumped about a gallon of fuel on my left arm/ground as i was installing it. I have a fuel pump cutoff switch anyways (the positive wire inside the cab).

I installed my fuel pump last week too. I've gotta run a wire back to it because there isn't one on this car.

I had to run new wires for mine. They run under the car. I wonder if that alright?

Watch pulling power for an accessory off the coil. TJ tried that with his e fan and it caused all sorts of ign problems.
