no relay until 84....

power goes from the battery, to the MAIN fuseable link, to the fusebox under dash, then to the ignition switch, and to the fuel pump.

so when you turn the key "ON" the pump runs

Wire it to a 12v source and have it switched on by the wire that currently powers the pump. Are you having issues with the fuel pump?

A relay won't fix the reason the carb is flooding. When was the last time the carb was rebuilt or a can of Seafoam run through it? Try the Seafoam, if that doesn't stop the flooding then start looking for why it is. A fuel cut switch may stop the flooding but it won't address the cause of it.

Yea give that a try, if you are running 3 psi on that pump it shouldn't be the cause of it flooding, sorry if I missed it, but what is your setup engine wise, stock/modded?
