FUel Pump Problems
For a couple weeks now, my 85 Rx7 GSL has been runnign sluggish and loosing power. Now it wont start. So, i did the ruetiene checks, and when checkign the connection to the fuel pump, the connection that is behind the drivers seat, i found out that no power is giong to the fuel pump. No, i've checked the fuse, it's good, i'v echecked all connections, there good. I'm out of ideas.
Anyone know of anything else to check...i need to figure out why it's not getting power. Suggestions needed!

used a meter to check the connecting pins behind the seat. When i turned the key to ON, i didn't get any reading from it. But when i put the meter on the fuse connections under the dash, i got a full reading when i turned it to ON.

If memory serves me correct, you have to jump the fuel pump relay. The fuel pump on the 84 and 85 only gets current while the engine is turning in the form of cranking or running.
Do the same check with somebody cranking the ignition. Also, to see if it is getting fuel, pull the hose from the carb and have somebody crank the engine to see if fuel is coming out.
Change the fuel filter. It could easily be clogged.
