I went with a Mallory fuel pump and a Holley 1-4psi FPR

I went this way, becuase I wanted it to be as silent as possible, I hate loud on cars.

Ebay can be your friend. Thats a hint!

Well I dont know first hand, but so many people on the fourm have gone this route and all of them say the same thing!

Hopefully someone else will chime in, so you dont have just one track view.

well i just bought a mallory fpr 4309. i dont like the idea of being only limited to 4 psi. this way if i end up running a carb that wants 6 psi i can still do that. ebay is great got it for 69 bucks. so now i just need to decied what fuel pump.

I just fired up my widebody last night with a new Holley blue pump. It's quieter than the Mallory comp 140 I had. It's all in how you mount it. I installed a Holley on jonjonwells car also, different mounting point, and it's also quiet.

Mallory Comp 70 and Holley FPR. The Mallory is waaaay quieter than the Holley Blue I had in my other car. Hell, it's almost as quiet as the little Mr Gasket pump I had in the old car. As trochoid says, how you mount the pump has a lot to do with how loud it's going to be in the car.

Personally, I perfer the holley (blue ) myself. I have used them for years and only had 1 failure. The pump wasnt the problem, the threads on the housing had a defect that caused a problem but the pump was already 2 years old so I didnt contact Holley, I just replaced it. You need to be careful where and how you mount them if you are concerned about noise because they can be very loud if not done correctly. By the way, I have one in a 82 chevy truck that is about 8 years old and still running fine.
