Fuel pressure guage not working....

Hey guys.. i installed an autometer fuel pressure guage outside my windshield... i got a brass T adapter and spliced the guage hose into the main fuel in line to the carby... i started my car up today (maybey about 2 minutes) and the guage didnt move...

i have come up with 3 reasons why i may not be working

i have it hooked up wrong...

my fuel filter is so bad that i am getting very little pressure so the guage isint reading

or the guage itself is broken...

what do you guys think?

You got pics of this, cause this is what im going to do also,I have had FPR mounted gauges and they al broke (2) I didnt watn to go to liquid fill yet,so mounting one on my cowl was the next step...

What cup/gauge did you get..

Are you running the stock carb...the stock fuel pump?
Why do you need a gauge?

What's the range on the guage?

I haven't tried an FPR guage yet that worked well BTW.

No the reason I have one is I have a holley fuel pump. And need to make sure it's not flooding the carb lol. But basicly all you should need is a "T" fitting like you said. The gauge could be bad, but I can't really say without looking at the setup or the gauge... good luck with it!

Uhhh.. Dude... Do you know if that Conquest is carbed or FI?

I'm putting money on FI and that that gauge goes up to 50 PSI...

If so, then sell the gauge, because carbs run at like 5 or less PSI.

In any case, if you haven't changed the fuel filter in a while, it's 4 bucks canadian here, so get one and put it in. Less than 5$, takes 5 minutes, just do it. No reason not to, lots to gain if it's been a while.

And listen to the other guys :P

Hey can you get pics any clearer then that?
I will be running this setup soon, and want to make sure I have no problems setting this up,I have probally the same regulator as you if you got the blue pump..

What did you use to cap off the other outlet on the regulator?

Why dont you have your gauge line runing into yoru cowl where the wiper motor sits?

What gauge and cup did you get?

I think im not gonan waste my cash and just go with the liquid fill..

Is it true in drag racing the dont want you have have a FPR mounted on the firewall?

And yoru only allow so many feet of fuel rubber line?

I got to look this **** up.

Sarrow,

I have a mallory pressure regulator, and a holley Red pump.

The other side of the reg. is capped off with a brass cap that screws into the regulator.

The line will run up into the cowl, as I said before this is just temp. As I am doing alot of work on the car and still am taking alot of things on and off the car. The pod is just a standard autometer black pod, and the gauge is an autometer pro-comp liquid filled 0-15psi gauge.

The car is a SCCA IT car so as far as drag racing rules I can't help you there. I used all steel braided aeroquip line as you can see, so I dont know about rubber either.

And I took some more pictures, they are a little better, (my digi cam was $50 so gemmie a break)
